Women's Gymnastics

Gymnastics NSW is excited to have secured a number of high calibre guest presenters for the Women’s Gymnastics component of the Building for Tomorrow, 2019 Gymsport Clinic! This is certainly an educational and professional development opportunity not to be missed with the wealth of knowledge and experience on offer as part of the 2019 Gymsport Clinic.

The Women’s gymnastics component of the clinic will take place over three days with coach lectures taking place on the Friday and practical sessions as well as lectures available on the Saturday and Sunday.

We are very pleased to have a large number of topics being covered during the event. We encourage participants to attend as many of the lectures/sessions as possible to gain maximum benefits from the wealth of knowledge as there will undoubtedly be a flow through of information throughout the duration of the three days. 

Nick Ruddock

We are delighted to again welcome Nick Ruddock for the 2019 Gymsport Clinic! Nick has consulted for 21 international gymnastics federations including Germany, Romania, Japan, Australia and Brazil, and provided services to professional sports teams and educated tens of thousands of coaches worldwide. with a mission of optimizing athlete and coach performance for the world stage.


Nick Ruddock contributed to historic medal winning performances on the international stage throughout his four-year term with British Gymnastics as National Coach. Nick, a former personal coach to Amy Tinkler; European, World and Olympic Medallist, has been mentored by some of the world’s most experienced and accomplished coaches throughout several influential countries. Nick began consulting in 2015, forming 'Nick Ruddock Gymnastics,' an organisation with a mission of easing the learning curve for elite gymnastics coaches.



David Kikuchi

We are excited to have David Kikuchi as a keynote presenter for Women’s Gymnastics the 2019 Gymsport Clinic! David is the personal coach to Canadian gymnast Ellie Black; Duel-Olympian, World Championship medallist, 2018 Commonwealth Games AA Champion and 6-time AA Canadian Champion

As a former two-time Olympic gymnast, David has a passion for assisting other gymnasts to reach their full potential. He has coached at multiple World Championships and Commonwealth Games.

 

 

Who can attend?

o Level 10 State team members who qualified for day 2 at the 2019 Australian Championships  (by invitation only) 
o IL High Performance, Junior and Future State Squads (By invitation only)

Note: Interstate International Stream gymnasts will be able attend upon invitation only.

Workshops
In addition to practical sessions and lectures for coaches and judges, the Gymsport Clinic will offer a wide variety of informative and engaging workshops for both coaches and gymnasts.

Each workshop will be presented by industry experts aimed at providing knowledge and practical application of topics including:

o Strength & Conditioning
o Sports Psychology
o Injury Prevention, Management & Rehabilitation
o Recovery
