Athlete Retirement: Daisy Puckeridge

Gymnastics NSW wish the best of luck to Acrobatic Gymnast Daisy Puckeridge, who has announced her retirement from competitive gymnastics.

Daisy, along with training partner Katie Rose, made history in 2018, placing 3rd at the FIG World Age Competition – the best result in Australian Acrobatic Gymnastics History.

Moving into Senior International, Daisy and Trio Katie Rose and Milli Hulst placed 3rd in Combined at the 2019 Australian Gymnastics Championships, earning selection onto the Australian Team for the 2020 FIG World Championships. Due to COVID-19, and the postponement of the FIG World Championships, Daisy has made the difficult decision to hang up her leotard.

“I will forever be grateful for all of the incredible opportunities, experiences, results and life long friends acro has given me,” said Daisy on her retirement announcement on Instagram.

A true team mate and talented athlete, Gymnastics NSW wish Daisy the best of luck in her future endeavours.
