‘Are you game?’ Mum flips into action with her kids and takes up adult gymnastics

Swapping out sideline support for centre stage fun, gymnastics mum Melissa Hanson says she’s thrilled after competing with her three children at the 2023 Junior State Championships.

I was trying to give her tips. And she said, ‘If you think you’re so good at it, why don’t you do it?’

I love it. I love the fact that we all enjoy something together, and it keeps us all fit. And we can share in each other’s achievements. New skills learnt. Moving up a level. We support each other.
